Pure gold doesn’t tarnish, so the thick layer of 14kt gold on gold-filled pieces prevents tarnishing.

Gold Plate: Gold plating is a layer of gold applied to a base metal. It is recommended to keep it dry and away from skincare products. Remove to shower, don’t wear swimming, and avoid coming into daily contact with lotion, perfumes, and creams.
